Wish List - Sunglasses

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Good evening ladies!

How beautiful is the weather we've been having the last few days?! It's a pity that the pollen count is so high I can barely breathe, let alone tolerate being outside! Heartbreaking!!!

Anyone else suffering with hay fever? Head over to my facebook page Fairly Fabulous, to check out some tips for alleviating your symptoms!

So, with the weather being so fantastic, and summer holiday season in full swing, I thought I'd put together some sunglasses inspiration in the form of a wishlist!

I'm addicted to buying sunglasses. I'd say I have about 30 pairs, most from Penneys, so it's safe to say that I love sunnies!

Here's a few sunglasses that I'd love to find in my collection!

Over €100

How faaaab are these?!! They look like some gal with a head scarf should be wearing them as she cruises around in a vintage convertable.

They're so expensive though!!! €270. Maybe one day.

A girl can dream, right?

You can get them in Brown Thomas here. While you're at it, wanna get me a pair? Thaaaaaanks!

Under €100

I actually can't believe that I don't have a pair of black aviators! They're such a style staple. They'll literally go with anything.

I may have just found my excuse to buy them here! €56.34 Treat yo'self!

Under €50

To me, this is a more achievable price point for a pair of deisgner sunnies. At AUS$60 which is around €41, I can actually afford these!

It's pretty hard to find somewhere to buy these, but you can get them here. These are coming from Australia though so be careful of import duty!!! They'll be coming out in a new colour in the autumn, so I might wait and see what colour they are.

Under €25

Black Metal Detail Cat Eye Sunglasses

You can get them here!

So these are the sunglasses I have my eye on at the moment.

Artistry Exact Fit Longwearing Foundation Review *

Friday, July 15, 2016

Hey guys!

So, this blog is all about the new Artistry Exact Fit Longwearing Foundation. I was sent this by the lovely ladies at Rachel Dalton Communications. I really wanted to make sure that I liked it before telling you guys about it so that you we're getting a comprehensive review.

The first time I used the foundation I really liked it. I went on nicely and gave my skin a flawless finish. But then for some reason, the next few times I used it, it didn't go on well at all. It went on really streaky and didn't blend very well. So, I stopped using it for a while. But I now know why it wasn't working for me. Keep reading and I'll tell you why...

I went back to the foundation a few weeks ago because I wanted to give it another chance, and because it has SPF 15 in it which is great for the fab weather we've been having recently. I decided to really think about how I was applying it, what base and brush to use.

I settled on using the P.S Love to Glow moisturiser from Penney's and a Penney's matte facial suncream in SPF30. Turns out that this is the perfect combo to use as a base for this foundation. I've used other moisturisers as well and they've worked too. It's also really important to allow your moisturiser or primer to dry before applying this foundation, otherwise it goes on all streaky!

It's all about prep with this foundation. It makes sense when you think about it. If you don't prepare your skin your foundation isn't going to turn out the way you want it to.

The brush I've gotten the best results with is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I tried other brushes, such as a stippling brush, but through trial and error, I found that the Real Techniques brush was the best.

So overall, I really like this foundation at the moment. I've been wearing it in work for the past month and it really does what it says on the tin. It has medium to full coverage and it really does last all day. I've been working outside for the most part and even so it still lasts better than any of my other foundations, and feels really light on the skin.

Here's a shameless selfie I took in work a few weeks ago of me wearing the foundation.

It's so handy that it has SPF 15 in it, which has stopped my face from getting burnt.

I really like the design of the bottle. It's so luxurious looking. The dispenser pump is fab. It dispenses just the right amount to cover your face, and you can also twist it to lock it so that it doesn't leak all over your makeup bag!

So yes, all in all I'm very impressed with this foundation, after figuring out how it best works for me!

Artistry EXACT FIT Longwearing Foundation comes in a variety of shades to suit all skin types!

It retails at €48.95 and you can purchase it here.

Let me know if you try it, and what you think of it!
